¨ To help parishes relate to global development issues in

manageable ways and to show the relevance of these in

our lifestyle choices.

¨ To encourage active interest in the internationally agreed

Millennium Development Goals, to halve world poverty by

2015.

¨ To encourage Christian concern and action for global

economic and social justice, and care of creation.

¨ To complement the ALMA Link, which gives parishes the

opportunity of personal contact with church communities

in Mozambique and Angola.

¨ To use occasions such as Fairtrade Fortnight, Christian Aid

Week, One World Week, World Aids Day and Diocesan

Appeals to raise awareness and encourage involvement.

¨ To work ecumenically; aware of other denominational

networks.

¨ As a representative on the Diocese of London’s Global

Development Group, develop good working contact with

other Advisors, agencies and NGOs so as to share and

progress ideas and initiatives emanating from the group.

¨ Currently Chair of the London Fairtrade Diocese Campaign
