I lead a newly formed Discipleship department which (among other areas of discipleship work) has responsibility for promoting stewardship of the environment, trade justice and Fair Trade.  In our last audit in Oct 2005 we learnt that 35% of our churches were committed to promoting Fair Trade refreshments and our aim is to increase this number to over 50% and achieve Fair Trade Diocesan status. We engage with local and regional environmental groups and are in the process of putting together an Diocesan Environmental policy, with a view to raising awareness and promoting action for change
